Equipment List for Legal Video Depositions:
Video Camera: State-of-the-art, digital, pictured above. Professional, broadcast quality. JVC GY-DV5000. , 3 Chip, 1/2 Inch CCDs. Two-track, 16 bit digital sound, XLR in-puts from a top quality, four microphone sound-mixer. Lens: Broadcast quality, Canon professional lens.
Professional Camera & Lens with manual operations, including:
Bars & tone, white balance, exposure, low level light gains, focus. Also on-camera: LCD screen, stereo audio level meter, time code, time/date stamp.

Time/Date Stamp: All legal video depositions are recorded with time/date stamps. On-screen Time/Date Stamp is set to 24 hr. military time (or AM/PM, if requested). A synchronized clock is provided for Court Reporter to match LiveNote or Real-Time transcript to camera's time.
Microphones: Three lavalieres (clip-on, lapel microphones), top film industry quality. Clip-on mics for witness, questioning attorney & opposing attorney. Also, one table mic for far-reaching colloquy, groups, translator, phone conference or teleconferencing.
Sound Mixer: Four mic audio-mixer, top broadcast quality Shure mixer.
Videotape & Digital Original Stock, on location: Digital, DV (large format) Original/Masters. 120 minute tape length. Master quality, standard speed. (Or, if arranged, Mini-DV professional quality, 83 minutes or DVCAM 2 hour SP).
Disk Back-up Recording, on location: DVD discs (two hour, DVD-R) for back-up. Back-ups archived at CtVideoAssoc.
Lighting: Professional, portable, low watt light. Light bounced discretely off wall or umbrella to not interfere with comfort level of all present.
Tripod: Fluid-head, professional.
Picture Monitors: Large 10 inch LCD screen, so that Counsel can easily view framing, on request. On-camera 2.5 inch LCD screen for picture or audio levels.
Background/Backdrop: Neutral colors, large, portable backdrop. Stand alone. Prevents background distractions. Enables Counsel to maintain consistency between multiple volumes & witnesses over the course of a case.

Audiotape Recording: Professional quality cassette audiotape of legal video deposition given to the Court Reporter at the end of the day.
Headphones for Court Reporter: High quality Sennheiser headphones feeds the sound-mix of legal video deposition to the Court Reporter. They are light weight with volume controled by Reporter.
Digital Clock with Seconds: To enable Court Reporter to match real-time transcript with time-stamping of camera at their convenience. Satellite-linked "atomic-clock" signal.
It is a team effort... Other complementary conveniences for Court Reporter such as shared caption page, and extension cord set-up are included.

Video Recording of Special Witnesses: Microphones & camera can be separated with extended cable so the camera and operator are not physically in the interview room, with advance request. Also, videotaping of incarserated witnesses can be pre-arranged.
Audio-Only Recordings: Record audio-only witnesses, depositions or IME with accurate Time/Date stamped on a black-screen using digital video without the picture, on request. Useful to maintain authenticity of evidence and to interface with editable trial-support video-formats. Also, maintains certification of evidence with Certificate of Authenticity affixed to Master/Originals. (Ask about these services).
